Teammate Double DSQ

The 2025 Chinese Grand Prix featured a rare occurrence where both cars from the same Formula 1 team were disqualified from the race. Ferrari drivers Lewis Hamilton and Charles Leclerc were disqualified due to technical infringements: Hamilton's car showed excessive skid block wear, while Leclerc's car was found to be underweight.

It is uncommon for both cars from the same team to be disqualified. A notable instance occurred at the 2019 Japanese Grand Prix when both Renault cars were disqualified following a protest that revealed an illegal brake bias system, which was deemed a driving aid and violated regulations. Daniel Ricciardo and Nico Hülkenberg had initially finished in sixth and tenth places, respectively, but were disqualified ten days after the race due to this illegal use, following a protest submitted by Racing Point.

Another example of both teammates being disqualified happened in 2005 with BAR-Honda when Jenson Button and Takuma Sato were disqualified from the San Marino Grand Prix due to fuel system irregularities that resulted in underweight cars.

At the 1996 European Grand Prix held at Nürburgring, both Tyrrell-Yamaha cars, driven by Mika Salo and Ukyo Katayama, were disqualified.

Additionally, both Charles Leclerc and Lewis Hamilton were disqualified during the 2023 US Grand Prix at Circuit of the Americas, although they were competing for different teams: Hamilton with Mercedes and Leclerc with Ferrari.
