Honda's Formula 1 Journey:

Honda entered the Formula 1 scene in 1964, just four years after commencing car production. Over the following seasons, they experienced sporadic success, including a few podium finishes and a second victory at the 1967 Italian Grand Prix with John Surtees behind the wheel. However, their Formula 1 journey was cut short in 1968 due to a tragic accident that claimed the life of French driver Jo Schlesser. This incident, combined with a strategic decision to focus on selling road cars in the United States, led Honda to withdraw from Formula One after the 1968 season.
